My name is JD Carrels, and I am a Business Banker with American Bank & Trust. 

Aberdeen is home to me. My parents were born and raised here, I was born and raised here, and I truly enjoy raising my family here as well.

After graduating from Roncalli High School, I played tennis collegiately and obtained my bachelor’s degree from Augustana University. I met my wonderful wife, Emily, at Augie, and convinced her that Aberdeen wasn’t as cold or as flat as she remembered.

We have two amazing boys, Beckham and Huxley, and I have immense pride in being called dad. While I am not at work, I maintain rental properties and enjoy tackling DIY projects, playing sports with my boys, spending time at Mina Lake, and working on my golf game.
