American Bank & Trust is pleased to welcome Sam Anderson as Vice President of Crop Insurance & Farm Risk Manager!

Sam brings a strong mix of agricultural roots and industry experience to his role, with a career built around helping farmers understand, manage, and protect their operations. A “farm kid” from Kulm, North Dakota, Sam grew up on a cow‑calf and feedlot operation, shaping his practical understanding of the challenges farmers face.

​Over the past decade, Sam has worked extensively in the crop insurance industry, collaborating with agencies, agents, and agricultural professionals across the region. Those experiences helped shape the strong lender and producer partnerships he brings to his work today.

Sam and his wife, Shanna, call Aberdeen home, where they are raising their three children. He stays active in the community and values building strong relationships both professionally and personally.

Sam’s deep understanding of agriculture, combined with his industry leadership and commitment to service, makes him an excellent addition to our team.  We’re excited to have him supporting our customers and communities across the region!
