American Bank & Trust Points for Pints Promotion

American Bank & Trust strives to make a positive and lasting impact on the communities in South Dakota. What you may not know is our nation’s blood supply is at the worst shortage in over a decade. To help lessen this supply shortage in our communities, we are offering a Points for Pints promotion to encourage customers to donate 100 pints of blood between 2/28/ and 4/22.

For a limited time, American Bank & Trust customers who donate blood can earn 500 Relationship Rewards bonus points.*

To earn the 500 Relationship Rewards bonus points, you must complete the following.

• Be enrolled in Relationship Rewards
• Donate blood at our local Blood Drive Event on May 24^th at the American Bank & Trust Grand Prairie location, or donate at any Community Blood Bank donation room or Red Cross donation room from 2/28/22 to 4/22/22.
• Bring proof of your eligible blood donation to any local American Bank & Trust bank location from 2/28 to 4/22.

Who Is The Community Blood Bank?

Community Blood Bank (CBB) is a nonprofit cooperative of Sanford Medical Center and Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center, both of Sioux Falls, S.D. The organization provides blood products including red cells, plasma, and platelets to more than 34 area hospitals in a 150-mile radius around Sioux Falls.

Community Blood Bank strives to provide a safe, cost-effective, and reliable blood supply to hospitals in northwestern Iowa, southwestern Minnesota, and southeastern South Dakota. All donations made to the Community Blood Bank stay within our local communities ensuring a safe, cost-effective supply of blood is delivered to local hospitals. If you or someone you know receives blood or blood products from medical treatment, those units need to be replenished. Community Blood Bank is a self-sufficient blood bank that relies on local volunteer donors to replenish the units used.

Why Blood Donations Matter?

Each year, approximately 6.8 million people in the U.S donate blood. Annually, this adds up to about 13.6 million units of whole blood collected for donation in the U.S. Your blood donations are used for patients in need of surgery, cancer treatment and transfusions for blood loss from traumatic injuries.
