SIOUX FALLS – August 17 – American Bank & Trust (AB&T) proudly marks a decade of community impact with local school donations totaling over $218,794.37 through the AB&T Spirit Card Program. This milestone shows the bank’s commitment to its local communities and celebrates a decade of support for local school districts.

Ten years ago, American Bank and Trust wanted to help local school districts respond to the mounting budgetary needs. AB&T was inspired to create a new debit card program that donates a percentage of each purchase back to the school district on the card, thus creating the Spirit Card Program.

Through the Spirit Card Program, community members play an active role in supporting their local schools. Those with an AB&T checking account can choose a debit card of an enrolled school district that is designed with the local school district’s colors and logo. Each time a person swipes their Spirit Card, a percentage of their debit card transaction will automatically be calculated and donated back to the school district on the debit card, reinforcing the spirit of community involvement.

Doug Tribble, President of American Bank & Trust, commented, “The 10-year anniversary of the Spirit Card Program is a testament to the collective power of community engagement. We are immensely proud to have assisted in a decade of positive change, and we are excited to continue uplifting local schools and communities in the years to come.”

To join in the celebration and be a part of American Bank & Trust’s ongoing mission to empower local schools and communities, individuals are invited to obtain a Spirit Card by connecting with a banker at any of American Bank & Trust’s branches.
